Me.
Hello, my name is Tim and I'm a developer and marketing strategist from southeastern PA, between the Allentown/Lehigh Valley area and Philadelphia.
I've performed various roles in the creative and technology world for over 20 years starting in print design, web/interactive design (yeah I authored interactive cd-roms and used Flash a lot), video editing/compositing, 3D product rendering, the list goes on.
Fast forward to 2024 and I'm a focused web developer and marketing technologist using LAMP/LEMP stack technologies on the coupled with a smorgasbord of front-end tech to build and deliver effective online solutions. I enjoy the challenges of website develpment and also my ability to bridge gaps between technology, creative, and marketing.
My creative roots factor heavily in everything I do and especially in my role as a developer. I value the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to build the best customer/end-user experience. I value collaboration and always endeavor to build relationships and foster a culture of communication, teamwork, and respect.
Focus.
I've developed solutions using more technolgies that I could list in one statement, but in brevity I would say my focus is developing in a LAMP/LEMP stack environment and collaborating with stakeholders from various disciplines to ensure the solution delivers on all measurable fronts (performance, UI/UX, marketing/analytics, etc.) and is flexible and scalable for future needs and enhancements.
My coding travels have led me to adventures working with various CMSs — mostly Wordpress, but also a good amount of Drupal, and some exposure to Sitecore and Sharepoint. WP would be my strongpoint in CMS development as I've built templates and plug-ins from scratch and very much enjoy the versatility and flexibility of working with ACF. I have worked with several ecommerce platforms for over a decade, most recently Woocommerce and Magento as well as custom developed Authorize.net gateways.
I've used various PHP frameworks (Laravel, Zend, Cake, etc.) but feel that Laravel is currently the best PHP framework and it shakes hands well with JS frameworks like Angular and React and it's secure, performs well, and is very intuitive. The Eloquent ORM has been especially helpful for me to work with data models easy to work with and provides a straightforward way to build secure API endpoints.
While not extensive, I have developed CI/CD solutions using Bitbucket and Beanstalk pipelines to deploy to AWS and Forge(DO) and while my DevOps chops are not the most developed part of my skillset I'm always working to build my knowledge of CI/CD processes.
Experience.
